Health is Wealth Pierogies

Pierogi are semi-circular dumplings of unleavened dough, stuffed with cheese, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, cabbage, onion, meat, hard-boiled eggs, dry cottage cheese (the last two are rather Mennonite-specific), or any combination thereof, or with a fruit filling.

Health is Wealth Pierogies are little whole-wheat pasta pillows that are filled with Potato and Onion or Potato and (soy) Cheddar Cheese.

Three pierogies (about 4-1/2) contain just three grams of fat, none of them saturated. And there are no hydrogenated oils to produce any artery-clogging trans fat.

What do you do with a pierogie? You can boil them, steam them, microwave them, or stir-fry them in a little olive oil with onions, red peppers, broccoli, or your own favorite vegetable combo.
