Cheesecake Factory's Low Carb Love
During the popular low-carb dieting days, many low-carb dieters loved this cheesecake and said it was rich and delicious (but sometimes followed by trips to the bathroom).
Each slice of this cheesecake contains 610 calories -- only 20 calories less than the original cheesecake. The cheesecake is sweetened with Splenda and also contains 12g dietary fiber and 22g sugar alcohol.
The calorie breakdown: 70 percent fat, 21 percent carbs, 9 percent protein.
This is akin to eating an 8-ounce prime rib with 29 grams of saturated fat; a day-and-a-half supply.
According to the Cheesecake Factory, "'6 Carb Cheesecake" refers to the 'Net Effective Carbohydrates' and was developed for customers that want a 'low carb" alternative.'"
Also note there is an allergy warning: "This product is processed in a plant that manufactures products with nuts/peanuts."
