Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie

From the manufacturer:

"Made with tender white-meat chicken, carrot, celery, peas... Prepared in a golden, flaky crust made from scratch.

Sounds delicious, doesn't it!? And it is ... BUT!

Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie is worse than Pepperidge Farm's Flaky Crust Chicken Pot Pie!

Each Pot Pie contains:

  • Calories (per serving): 640
  • Total fat 38 grams
  • Saturated fat 14 grams
  • Cholesterol: 30 mg
  • Sodium 1100 mg

Note: There may be some differences depending upon which pot pie your have. The range of chicken pot pies includes regular chicken, creamy Parmesan chicken, honey roasted chicken, creamy mushroom chicken and cheesy chicken.

If you indulge, do try to keep your serving size to around 8 ounces and reduce your fat and sodium intake for the rest of the day. Fruit for dessert is a nice finish plus adds missing fiber and vitamins.

Side note: Many people feel there's far too much crust in these pot pies, leaving them wanting for more chicken, vegetables and sauce. Crust adds more fat; another thing to keep in mind.
