Mrs. Smith gives you a choice any of five flavors:

Too Much Saturated Fat

One slice -- a sixth of a pie, packs about 400 calories and about 20 grams of fat -- half of them saturated. That's half a day's saturated fat...and it doesn't even include the trans fat in the pies' shortening.

2014 Update

We were no longer able to locate any of the "Cool Desserts" put out by Mrs. Smith; however, we also could not find any information as to whether or not they are still available anywhere.

Currently, Mrs. Smith's does still carry a line of quite delicious pies. The two that sounded like the best options from a "healthier" stand point were the Pumpkin Pie and the Blackberry Cobbler.

The Pumpkin Pie weighs in at 260 calories per slice with total fat at 11 grams (5 saturated, 0 trans). Plus you get a bit of potassium, 2 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein.

The Blackberry Cobbler weighs in at 250 calories, 8 grams of fat total (3.5 saturated, 0 trans), no cholesterol, 210 milligrams of sodium.
