Weightloss Hypnosis
Hypnosis has been used in one form or another for thousands of years. There may even be mention of hypnosis in the Bible (Genesis 2:21, 1 Samuel 26:12, Job 4:13, 33:15, Acts 10:10), but the history of modern hypnosis begins in 18th century with the arrival of Franz Anton Mesmer (1734-1815). It is after him that the term "mesmerism" was coined.
Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) was also initially interested in hypnosis, but he abandoned it because he was unsuccessful with it.
What qualified acceptance of hypnosis in medicine that we have today is largely due to the efforts of pioneers in the experimental study of hypnosis, starting in the 1920's and 30's.
In the 1950s both the British and the American Medical Associations acknowledged the value of hypnosis as a tool for healing. Despite this, only a minority of doctors practise hypnotherapy. The 21st century thirst for short-term, cost-effective methods makes hypnotherapy an attractive alternative.
Hypnosis can help you eat and think healthier, overcome your food cravings, increase your self-confidence and make mental and behavioral changes for a lifetime! Hypnosis will not insult your intelligence by telling you to make sure you get so many servings of green leafy vegetables. You know this. Instead, it will reach into your psyche to help you make good food choices.
When you're under hypnosis, your attention is highly focused and you're more responsive to suggestions, including behavior changes that can help you lose weight. Best of all, hypnosis is generally safe and relatively inexpensive.
