Apple Scotch Crisp
Butterscotch pudding mix gives this a nice butterscotch flavor while oatmeal lends to the nutty taste with a little extra crunch. And regarding that oatmeal, did you know that more than 40 scientific studies show that eating oatmeal can help lower blood cholesterol levels.
Ingredients:
5 to 6 large apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon flour
Directions:
Cover bottom of a buttered 9 x 9-inch baking pan with apple slices. In bowl combine topping (below) ingredients and pour over apples.

2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 ounces dry regular butterscotch pudding
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
Dash of nutmeg
Combine and sprinkle over apples and bake at 350 degrees until golden and apples are tender.
Recipe serves 4 to 6 people.
