Fruity Applesauce with Walnuts Recipe

Walnuts contain melatonin, a powerful antioxidant believed to reduce risk of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Walnuts are the only nut that contain a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids!

Ingredients:
2 cups cinnamon applesauce
8 ounces crushed pineapple packed in juice
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Pour applesauce into 1-quart bowl. Drain pineapple, reserving juice for another use. Add pineapple to bowl. Add raisins and walnuts. Stir well to blend.

Serve at once, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Recipe makes six servings. Leftovers will keep up to three days if covered and refrigerated.
