Blackberry Apple Dip

Blackberries for blackberry apple dip

The addition of blackberries means an addition of nutrients! Blackberries are low in fat, saturated fat free, cholesterol free, sodium free and an excellent source of vitamin C and fiber. The yogurt lends creaminess and calcium.

Ingredients

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
2 cups fresh blackberries
1 Gala apple, cored and diced
1 cup reduced fat soft cream cheese

Directions

Wash all produce.

Combine yogurt, balsamic vinegar, blackberries and apple in a blender.

Cover and blend until smooth.

Add cream cheese; blend until smooth.

Serve immediately or transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate up to 2 days.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with apple slices, graham crackers, or on top of granola.

Did you know?

Blackberries are different from black raspberries! They taste different and blackberries have a solid center, while raspberries are hollow when picked.
