Fluffy Apple Dumplings Recipe

100 percent fruit juices are a smart addition to any well-balanced diet, providing vitamins and minerals like potassium, vitamin C and folate. There are no added sugars in 100 percent juice - just the natural sugars found in whole fruit. Fruit juice is also a convenient way for adults and children to help reach the recommended number of daily servings of fruits and vegetables. Just one 4 ounce glass of 100 percent juice provides a full serving of fruit!

Ingredients:
2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup diced apples
2 (46 fluid ounce) cans 100 percent apple juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup apple juice and cinnamon, stirring until smooth. Stir in diced apple. Into a 4-quart pot with a tight fitting lid, pour two cans of apple juice. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Apple Juice Drop diced apple mixture by soup-spoonfuls into boiling juice. Cover and let boil 20 minutes. Do not remove lid during cooking. After 20 minutes, remove dumplings from pan; set aside.

Stir cornstarch into remaining apple juice in pot and cook until thickened. Serve over dumplings.
