Beef, Bean and Walnut Stir-Fry Recipe

The addition of green beans packs in nutrition! Green Beans are a good source of fiber and vitamin C and also contain calcium, magnesium, zinc and Vitamin A. Also is a source of folate which supports DNA synthesis and new cell formation.

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
One pound of lean ground beef or ground turkey
One bag (16 ounces) frozen cut green beans, thawed
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnut pieces

Directions:
In a large skillet, heat oil and garlic over medium heat 30 seconds. Add beef and beans; sprinkle with salt. Mix well.

Cook 5 minutes or until beef is well browned, stirring occasionally.

Stir in walnuts; cook two minutes more.

Serving suggestion: Serve over hot cooked egg noodles or rice.

Recipe makes four servings.
