Mango Shake Recipe

Healthy Beverage

Children love the creamy sweet taste of this drink plus a one-cup serving of sliced mango is an excellent source of vitamin a and vitamin c plus 3 grams of fiber.

Ingredients:
2 cups 1-percent milk
4 tablespoons frozen mango juice (or 1 fresh pitted mango)
1 small bananas
2 ice cubes

Directions:
Put all ingredients into a blender. Blend until foamy. Serve immediately.

Variations: Instead of mango juice, try orange juice, papaya, or strawberries.

Recipe yields 4 servings; serving size: 3/4 cup

Allergy note: People who are allergic to cashews or natural rubber latex can suffer a potentially serious "cross-reactivity" from eating mango due to similar antigens in the plants.
