A satisfying, cooling beverage using a low fat easy chocolate ice milk blended with whole milk, a bit of sugar and vanilla extract.
Note: You will need a Frozen Ice Cream Maker for this recipe.Ingredients
3 cups low fat chocolate milk
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine all of the ingredients and freeze in an ice cream machine following the manufacturer instructions.
- If desired, you could use coconut milk in place of the white whole milk.
- If you are lactose intolerant, look for lactose free chocolate milk and use soy milk in place of the whole milk.
Recipe makes 6 servings.

Variation: Organic Chocolate Coconut Ice Milk
1 14-ounce can of full fat coconut milk
1/4 to 1/3 cup raw honey
1/3 organic cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (no imitation)
Mix milk, honey and vanilla in a bowl and sift in the cocoa to remove any clumps. Whisk the mixture with a fork until well mixed. Taste and add more honey if needed.
Process according to manufacturer instructions and chill in freezer for a few hours before serving. Or serve immediately for a scrumptious soft serve.
