Peachy Keen Shake Recipe

Milk

Ingredients:
1 8-ounce carton raspberry low-fat yogurt
1 cup frozen unsweetened peach slices
1-1/2 cups fat free skim or 1% lowfat milk
1 tablespoon honey or sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

In a blender container combine yogurt, peaches and honey or sugar. Cover and blend until nearly smooth.

Add fat free skim or 1-percent lowfat milk and vanilla. Cover and blend until smooth.

Pour into glasses; serve immediately.

Recipe makes 4 (7-ounce) servings.

Bonus Recipe: Basic Fruit Smoothie

These two combinations of smoothies can contain the fruit of your choice. For a smoothie with the lowest fat content, omit the yogurt or use fat-free if available.

Ingredients:
12 ounces orange or apple juice
1/2 banana (fresh or frozen)
1 cup frozen strawberries
4 to 8 ounces frozen vanilla yogurt (optional)
OR
12 ounces orange or apple juice
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen peaches or blueberries
4 to 8 ounce frozen vanilla yogurt (optional)

Directions:
Place juice in blender or food processor, add fruit and yogurt, if using, and blend.
