Banana Pineapple Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
One and 1/2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
Ten ice cubes
3 tablespoons (packed) golden brown sugar

 

Directions:

Place yogurt in small bowl; cover and freeze at least 6 hours or up to 2 days.

Transfer frozen yogurt to blender. Add bananas, pineapple juice, ice cubes, and brown sugar and blend until smooth. Divide among 4 glasses.

Recipe makes 4 servings.

Variation: Pineapple Banana Smoothie

This simple and refreshing drink comes from the Cuisine Art Resort and Spa.

Ingredients:
4 cups 1-inch pieces (about 1 medium) cored peeled pineapple
2 ripe large bananas, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces, frozen
2 cups apple juice
2 cups ice cubes
2 tablespoons honey

Directions:
Blend two cups pineapple pieces, one banana, 1-cup apple juice, 1-cup ice, and 1-tablespoon honey in blender until smooth. Divide Smoothie among 3 glasses. Repeat with remaining ingredients and divide among 3 more glasses. Recipe makes six servings.
