Honey Apple Tea and Cinnamon Apple Cooler

Honey Apple Tea

Icy Citrus Tea combines grapefruit juice, lemon and orange juice for a delightful citrus tasting tea.

Ingredients

4 bags black tea
3 cups boiling water
1/3 cup honey
3 cups unsweetened apple juice
Lemon slices

Directions

Place the tea bags in a heat-safe pitcher or teapot. Pour the boiling water over the bags and steep about 15 minutes.

Pour into 2-quart serving pitcher.

Discard bags, add honey and apple juice and stir well.

Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices.

Recipe makes 6 to 8 servings.

Cinnamon Apple Cooler Recipe

1-1/2 cups boiling water
6 cinnamon apple spice herb tea bags
3 tablespoons sugar
1-1/2 cups cold water
1 cup grape juice
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Club soda, chilled

In teapot, pour boiling water over teabags; cover and steep 5 minutes. Remove bags; stir in sugar and cool. In pitcher, combine tea, cold water and juices. Serve in ice-filled glasses with a splash of soda.

Garnish, if desired, with lemon or lime slices.

Note: This recipe doubles wonderfully if you're expecting company!

Did You Know?

You can use black tea to tenderize meat: Add equal parts of strong brewed tea and double-strength beef stock to a tough pot roast or stew. The tannin in tea is a natural meat tenderizer.
