Gala apples are sweet with slight tartness and have tender skin. Hold shape well when baked.

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon cinnamon
8 egg whites or 4 egg substitute equivalents
4 teaspoons baking powder
12 cups chopped Gala apples
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Mix all ingredients except apples.

Gently stir in apples.

Bake Appely Apple Cake in a non-stick 9 x 13-inch pan at 350-degrees for about 60 minutes or until done.
