Cheesy Baked Chicken made using boneless skinless chicken breasts in a tasty Italian marinara sauce with Mozzarella cheese.

6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
2 slightly beaten egg whites
2/3 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 26-ounce jar marinara sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 cup reduced-fat shredded Mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 400-degrees.
Dip chicken into egg whites, then bread crumbs, coating well. Arrange chicken in a 13-by9-inch baking dish. Bake ten more minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
If you make your own Italian marinara sauce, the best tomatoes to use are San Marzano tomatoes imported from Italy - if you can get them. Otherwise, experiment with different brands that are available to you until you find the one you like best.
If you go the store-bought route for your Italian marinara sauce, the most popular for authentic Italian flavor are Rao's, Barilla, Newman's Own and Prego.

Serve these crunchy treats with potato nuggets, such as Tater Tots and tiny green peas (frozen).
Heat oven to 425-degrees. Cut four boneless, skinless chicken breast halves into 1/4-inch strips. Brush all sides of the chicken with low-fat mayonnaise and then dip and coat all sides into 1-cup breadcrumbs. Seasoned crumbs work great if you would like to zip up the flavor. Place on foil-lined baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until golden and juices run clear. Make a dip from half low-fat mayonnaise and half honey-mustard sauce.
