Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
Healthy Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups quick or old fashioned oatmeal, uncooked
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla until creamy. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 11 to 13 minutes. Remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.
