Double chocolate flavor from cocoa and mini chocolate chips along with healthful oatmeal for Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies.
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup milk or strong coffee
1 teaspoons vanilla
1-1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa, preferably Dutch process
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup mini chocolate chips
Cream margarine, sugars, egg, milk and vanilla with electric mixer. Whisk together flour, cocoa, and baking powder, salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
