Whole Wheat Dream Shoe Cookies Recipe
Healthy Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
4 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup honey
1 egg
1/4 cup hot water
2 tablespoons vanilla extact
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Stir together whole wheat flour, salt, and baking powder; cut in butter until there are pea-sized lumps mixed in the flour. Add honey, egg, water, vanilla; mix just until dough will make a ball.
Roll out dough about -inch thick. Cut into high heeled shoe shapes and move carefully to sprayed baking sheets. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until edges are light brown.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately remove cookies to wire racks; cool.
If you eat the cookies now they are good - not too sweet and are nice and crunchy. Or you can decorate with buttercream frosting (or purchased frosting) using sprinkles, making bows with the frosting anything that makes them look like Diva shoes.
Recipe makes 36 cookies. Serving size 1 cookie.
