1 ripe pineapple, about 3 pounds, peeled, cored, and cut into small wedges
2 pints fresh strawberries, washed, stems removed, and quartered
1/4 cup ruby-red port
Pinch ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 heaping tablespoon rice syrup
In a glass or ceramic bowl, mix all the ingredients.
Chill for several hours before serving.
Note: Qualifies as a vegetarian recipe .
