Buttermilk Dressing

This Buttermilk Dressing adds a new twist to Caesar, chef and bean salads. Tastes great, and the dressing mix is made from scratch so you are in control of all ingredients!


10 tablespoons buttermilk dressing mix (below)
1 cup  warm water
1/2 cup All Natural Nayonaise
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons sour cream
Salt to taste


Process all ingredients in a food processor.

In a small mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Let the mixture sit for about 1 hour at room temperature. Stir before using.

Nutrition Information

Yield: About 2 cups.

Buttermilk Dressing Mix

A great do-ahead and good for you.

4-1/2 cups buttermilk
1-1/2 cups freeze-dried chives
1/2 cup dill weed
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup dry mustard

Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Will keep about 1 month refrigerated in a 2 quart jar with a tight fitting lid. Yield: About 7 cups.
