Macedoine of Seasonal Fruits Recipe
Healthy Fruit Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
4 cups assorted fresh fruit -- choose three or four from the following:
Banana, peeled and sliced, mango, peeled, seeded and cut into wedges, Melon balls or cubes (cantaloupe or honeydew), orange or tangerine slices
Seedless grapes
Papaya, diced
Pear, diced
Pineapple chunks
Strawberries, hulled; halved if large
1 cup sweet white wine
Fresh lemon juice to taste (omit if using citrus fruits)
Mint leaves for garnish, if desired
Directions:
Combine the cut fruit in large glass bowl, add wine, and toss to moisten fruit thoroughly. Cover; refrigerate one to four hours.
Remove fruit from refrigerator; let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Toast fruit; add lemon juice if necessary. Garnish with mint leaves before serving.
Recipe makes four servings.
