Healthy Gorp Recipe

Ingredients:
2 ounces cheese snack chips
1/2 cup smokehouse almonds
1 cup corn nuts

Directions:
Gently mix well.

Store in an airtight container, or a ziplock bag.

Recipe yields 2 cups of Spicy Trail Gorp.

Bonus Recipe: Cinnamon-Apple Gorp

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 cups Grape Nuts cereal
1 cup chopped dried apples
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup pretzel pieces

Directions:
Melt the butter in a saucepan on low heat, then stir in the sugar, honey, and cinnamon. Add the Grape Nuts slowly and stir to coat. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour mixture onto waxed paper and press it into a solid block, about 1/4-inch thick. Allow to cool, then break into 1/4-inch nuggets. Put the nuggets in a zipper-lock bag with the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Yield: 6 cups. Note: This mix is very light and only slightly sweet. It makes a good dinner appetizer.
