Pasta, Ham and Vegetable Salad

Ingredients:
Six ounces (1-1/2 cup) small shell or elbow pasta, uncooked
1-1/4 cup (6 ounces) diced cooked ham or shrimp
1 cup halved or quartered cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1/2 cup Ranch or creamy Italian salad dressing
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dried
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Six sliced Colby or cheddar cheese
Lettuce leaves (optional)

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, combine ham, tomatoes and green onions in large bowl. Drain pasta; rinse with cold water and drain again. Add to bowl; toss well.

Combine dressing, dill and pepper; add to bowl and toss well. Cut cheese in half; cut again into 1/2-inch wide strips. Add to salad and toss again.

Serve immediately or chill until serving time.

Serve on lettuce leaves if desired.
