One of life's simple pleasures – bread served with cheese on a Bread and Cheese Pizza! Accompany this pizza with a good Chianti and we assure you, you will be happy!
1 12-inch Crispy pizza crust
2-3/4 ounce ricotta cheese
2 ounces Mozzarella, sliced
2 ounces Gorgonzola, sliced
1-1/4 ounce Parmesan cheese, finely grated
Freshly ground black pepper
Prepare the pizza base so it is ready to be topped. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees.
Put spoonfuls of ricotta here and there all over the pizza, leaving a ½ to ¾-inch border uncovered around the edge. Scatter over the Mozzarella and Gorgonzola slices and finally, sprinkle over the Parmesan. Cook in the middle of the preheated oven to 10 to 12 minutes or until crispy and golden. Remove from the oven, season with black pepper and serve immediately.
Sprinkle over a handful of basil leaves or arugula for a bit of color just before serving, if desired.
Recipe makes 1 12-inch pizza.
Serving size: 1 slice (1/12th of pizza)
