This Boston Tea Party Popcorn recipe uses a tasty, citrus twist on popcorn with the use of instant lemon-flavored iced tea mix.
Crystal Light and Lipton make great lemon iced tea mixes that can be found in most local grocery stores.
2-1/2 quarts popped popcorn*
1/4 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons instant lemon-flavored iced tea mix
1 tablespoon sugar
Put freshly-popped popcorn in a large bowl. Drizzle butter over it and toss.
Combine tea and sugar. Add to buttered popcorn and toss again.
Note:* 1 ounce of unpopped popcorn kernels (2 tablespoons household measure) makes approximately 1 quart of popped popcorn.
Recipe makes 2-1/2-quarts.
