Healthy Popcorn Recipe

Shredded lemon peel and dill weed combine with popped popcorn and low sodium salt to make this unique and healthful popcorn snack.

Dill doesn't get enough attention! Dill was once boiled in water and the liquid drunk to prevent obesity; the seeds have been chewed to curb appetite. A cup of Dill tea, or chewing on the seeds, after a meal has been used to sweeten the breath. Halitosis/bad breath has also been treated by chewing on the seeds.

Ingredients:
2 quarts popcorn popped in 1/4-cup of oil
2 tablespoons shredded lemon peel
1 teaspoon dill weed
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon low-sodium salt

Directions

Toss popcorn with lemon peel and dill weed.

Flavor enhances as popcorn stands.

Recipe yields 2 quarts Dilly Lemon Munch Popcorn.
