Strawberry Herb Sauce with strawberry preserves mix and red wine vinegar, capers and delicious Italian dried herbs. Fresh cracked pepper and salt add the finishing touch. If you prefer the simpler approach or find it more practical at times, we also offer a very simple strawberry sauce recipe!
1/2 cup strawberry preserves
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons chopped capers
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl; mix well.
Spoon over grilled vegetables or use as marinade for chicken.
Recipe makes 6 servings.

Simple Strawberry Sauce Recipe
2 cups strawberries, chopped
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water (if needed)
In a small bowl, combine berries and sugar, mixing well; let stand about one hour. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring mixture to a oil; cook about four minutes, mashing and stirring berries as they cook, and adding water, one tablespoon at a time, only if berries are not very juicy. Serve warm or cold. Recipe makes about 2 cups.
