Ginger Tea

Fresh Ginger

Slice fresh ginger for this tummy soothing and healthful Ginger Tea. Add some honey or brown sugar to sweeten with lemon wedges providing a nice garnish.

Ginger tea is often used as a home remedy for indigestion, nausea, and to ward off colds, flu, and sore throats.

Ingredients

1/2 cup thinly sliced fresh ginger
6 cups water
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
Lemon wedges for garnish if desired

Directions

In a saucepan simmer ginger and water 20 minutes, or more for stronger tea.

Add honey or sugar and strain tea through a sieve that is set over a teapot.

Serve tea garnished with lemon wedges.

Recipe makes 4 cups.
