Brussels Sprouts with Maple Syrup

The sweetness of the maple syrup makes this an unusually elegant dish.

Ingredients:
3 cups Brussels sprouts
1/4 cup maple syrup
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper

If they need to be trimmed, remove the outer leaves from the sprouts.

Cut the ends off, then slice them into halves and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes in boiling water until tender.

Drain and toss with the maple syrup. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Recipe yields 3 cups (3 servings).
