Slow Cooked Beans
*These can be cooked in a slow cooker; also easy in your oven set at about 300-degrees.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups ketchup
One onion, chopped
One bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 teaspoons cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground mustard
Two bay leaves
One can kidney beans, drained
One can great Northern beans, drained
One can lima beans, drained
One can black beans, drained
One can black-eyed peas, drained
In order above, combine all ingredients in slow cooker (or casserole dish if cooking in your oven).
Cover and cook on low for five to seven hours; remove bay leaves and serve.
