Plain yogurt for Apple Yogurt Cobbler

Vegetarian friendly Apple Yogurt Cobbler recipe for a healthful apple dessert the whole family will enjoy. Yogurt has been produced for at least 4,000 years. Legend says that an angel taught Abraham how to make yogurt. To avoid wrinkled skins on apples when baking, cut a few slits in the skin to allow for expansion.


1/2 cup non-fat yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon seedless raisins
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon nuts or crunchy cereal as topping


Combine the yogurt, applesauce, raisins, cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.

Cover and refrigerate until well chilled. Just before serving, sprinkle with your choice of nuts or crunchy cereal.

Eat and enjoy as a snack or as a dessert.
