About Grenadine...

Grenadine is a strong red syrup made from red currants and pomegranates. It is a useful ingredient for many cocktails, acting as both a coloring and a sweetener. However, there are brands on the market that use high fructose corn syrup as the leading ingredient with "natural and artificial flavors" standing in for the pomegranate juice. Specialty stores or an online search may give you the most options for finding a high quality grenadine.
