Apple Cheddar Bread

Fresh Apple in Apple Cheddar Bread

Apple Cheddar Quick Bread recipe makes one 9 inch loaf of delicious apple bread with the tasty addition of Cheddar cheese. Cinnamon adds a touch of spicy sweetness while walnuts add a nice crunch in every bite.


2/3 cup white sugar
2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup melted butter
1 apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup milk


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon walnuts, apples, and cheese. Add the eggs, melted butter and milk; stir until well blended.

Pour mixture into prepared 9-inch loaf pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until done.

Note: Check loaf about mid-point of baking time. If loaf starts to brown too much, lightly cover the top with aluminum foil.
