Cinnamon-Apple Popcorn

Apple and Cinnamon for Cinnamon-Apple Popcorn

Cinnamon-Apple Popcorn with delicious seasonings of cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and vanilla blend deliciously with dried apples, pecans and the star of this show, popcorn! A great fall treat!


2 cups chopped dried apples
10 cups popped popcorn
2 cups pecan halves
4 teaspoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


Combine chopped dried apples, popcorn and pecan halves.

Add cinnamon and nutmeg to melted butter; drizzle over popcorn mixture, stirring well.

Sprinkle brown sugar over all, add vanilla extract and blend carefully until brown sugar and vanilla are mixed in thoroughly.

Store in airtight container.

Recipe makes 14 cups.

Variation: Cinnamon Stick Popcorn

Too many ingredients when you're in a time crunch? Try this recipe, instead - the sweet cinnamon compliments the popcorn.

8 cups hot, plain popped popcorn (from 1/4 cup dry kernels)
2 tablespoons sugar
1-1/2 to 2-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1-1/2 tablespoon melted butter

Place popped corn in a large bowl. Drizzle butter over it and sprinkle with remaining ingredients. Toss until well mixed. Use the amount of cinnamon you prefer - minimum of 1-1/2 teaspoon.
