Hot and Spicy Corn

Peanut butter and banana

Dry mustard, thyme, ground black pepper, a bit of cayenne and low sodium salt season up this spicy, satisfying Hot and Spicy Corn snack without adding calories, sugar or fat.


5 quarts popped popcorn
1 cup dried banana chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground garlic
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper


Combine popped popcorn and banana chips in a roasting pan.

In a small saucepan, stir together peanut butter and oil until blended; add seasonings and heat.

Pour peanut butter mixture over popped popcorn and toss to coat.

Heat in 300-degree oven for ten minutes, stirring several times.

5 cups air popped popcorn
1 teaspoon canola oilTwo Chipotle peppers
1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Pour the popcorn into a large bowl, gently drizzle with the oil, add the chili powder, salt and cumin and toss well. Eat immediately.
