Praline Sweet Potato Casserole

Sweet Potato for Praline Sweet Potato Casserole

Praline Sweet Potato Casserole with mashed sweet potatoes, soy, orange juice, brown sugar, brandy and ginger.


4 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes or yams
3 tablespoons melted creamy soy nut butter
1/3 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons brandy
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 tablespoon fresh grated
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


Combine all ingredients. Mix well with an electric beater. Pour into a well-buttered 2 quart shallow casserole. Spread with praline topping.

Praline Topping: 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Combine ingredients and mix until well blended.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Recipe Note

Soynut Butter smells just like peanut butter, has the same consistency of creamy peanut butter and tastes very much like it, too - just an ever so slightly different taste to it. Outstanding, healthy product that stays fresh (does not require refrigeration). A natural product-oil separation may occur. Simply stir and enjoy.
