Rice and Cheese Puffs

Brown and White Rice for Rice and Cheese Puffs

Treat your special guests to a healthy appetizer with these unique Rice and Cheese Puffs flavored with poultry seasoning and Parmesan cheese.


2 egg whites
1 cup cooked white or brown rice
1/8 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
Nonstick spray


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Coat a baking sheet with nonstick spray.

Beat egg whites; stir in rice, poultry seasoning and cheese. Refrigerate at least an hour.

Shape rice mixture into 15 balls, about 1 inch each. Roll in dry bread crumbs. Place on prepared baking sheet and coat each ball completely with nonstick spray.

Bake 15 to 18 minutes, until puffs are golden brown.
