Viennese Iced Tea

Viennese Iced Tea with crushed ice and sliced lemon, superfine sugar to your liking, rum or brandy, freshly brewed tea and fresh mint sprigs make a refreshing and relaxing tea beverage.


Crushed ice
Slice lemon
Superfine sugar to taste*
1-1/2 ounce rum or brandy
Freshly brewed, hot tea
Fresh mint sprigs


Fill a 14-ounce Collins glass three-quarters full with crushed ice.

Add the lemon slice, sugar and rum or brandy.

Fill with tea and stir gently.

Garnish with mint sprigs.

Recipe Note

Superfine Sugar is finely pulverized granulated sugar obtained from sugar cane or sugar beet, that dissolves completely and rapidly in cold drinks. Superfine sugar is also called castor, or caster.
