Hot Cognac Punch

Hot Cognac Punch with sugar, freshly brewed hot tea, strained juice of oranges and lemons both plus plenty of Cognac make a big batch of Cognac Punch for your next gathering.

Cognac is a type of brandy named after a town in France. It is made only from grapes in the Cognac region of France. Cognac is a luxurious drink and a favorite for those who enjoy the finer things in life.


1 cup sugar
4 cups freshly brewed hot tea
Strained juice of 8 oranges and 3 lemons
1-1/2 cup Cognac


Dissolve the sugar in the hot tea.

Stir in the strained orange and the strained lemon juice and add the Cognac.

Heat the punch but do not let it boil. Serve in punch glasses.

Recipe Note

Superfine Sugar is finely pulverized granulated sugar obtained from sugar cane or sugar beet, that dissolves completely and rapidly in cold drinks. Superfine sugar is also called castor, or caster.
